A Profitable Treasure Box Jewelry Display

Vin of Forest House Jewelry shares this experience with a profitable "treasure box" jewelry display at jewelry home shows:
My pieces usually range from $30-$140, and are made from sterling, gold filled, gemstones, crystals, and pearls. I also sell some pre-made pieces from trusted suppliers. I have a website, do homeshows, jewelry making parties, and trunk shows.
After recently reading your fabulous new E-book, I decided to try and sell some inexpensive articles for quick profit at my home shows.
I borrowed a pretty wooden basket from my home, and filled it with very inexpensive pieces made from low-cost plated metals and a variety of beads.
I made a cute sign that said "Cash Only $2.00 Treasure Box". I taped the sign to a wooden skewer and taped it to the basket.
I put each piece in a clear ziplock bag, and just pile it in the basket. I don't bother to price it.
I break up sets and bag the earrings, necklace, and bracelet individually.
Well, you would think there was actually treasure in it! I have used it at my last three shows, and it has been a hit. My guests flock to it, and actually wait in line to get to it so they can rummage through it. I just ask them to make sure they replace the items back in the bags.
What a great way to make a quick profit and gets lots of singles to make change with! I think I could easily price the same items at $3 or $4 dollars with the similar results.
