Mystery Discount Tags Increase Sales at Home Jewelry Party

Diana Yount of The Diana Collection shares a great tip for increasing sales at a home jewelry party:
I conduct a monthly Open House event at my home for shoppers to buy my jewelry. This helps keep my name in front of potential customers, and allows me to move pieces during the slower months of the year.
I try to have a 'gimmick' at each Open House.
For December, I filled a holiday themed gift box with holiday Post-It Notes on which I had written various discounts (i.e. 10% off total purchase, one free pair earrings with purchase, 25% off one necklace, etc.)
Each person picked a mystery discount tag as they entered the house. Everyone then bought something so they would get the discount!
